Champions Mixed Martial Arts is a Brazilian  Jiu Jitsu based academy. Ross Kellin who has been studying martial arts for the past 32  years. He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Marcos Santos of Rio De Janerio, Brazil from Brazilian Top Team. Ross’s other BJJ trainer Jorge Boechat from Gracie Ihla(Relson Gracie) Ross is also a Master in Northern  Shao Lin, Kung Fu. A World Champion in Shuai Jiao Chinese Wrestling. A kickboxing, boxing and wrestling expert, Ross has trained fighters at all levels of the sport from the UFC, WEF, Bellator, EliteXC , Strikeforce  all the way to World Champion MMA and State Champion MMA fighters. From Navy seals to Marine Recon and Army Special Forces Ross has had the privilege of teaching many Military officers and enlisted personnel.

We are Located at 8220 Us Hwy 98 North in Lakeland, Fl. Champions MMA has a variety of excellent classes to chose from, when deciding what class to take. We Offer, BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU, MIXED MARTIAL ARTS ( a mix of AMERICAN JIU JITSU, BOXING, MUAY THAI AND WRESTLING), CARDIO TIGERVASCULAR KICKBOXING, KUNG FU  AND KIDS CLASSES  ages 4 and up.

Ross Kellin was born in Lakeland, Fl and made it his home for his academy, he has been in business as of 2010 for 12 years in Lakeland. He was the first to start the kid’s AMERICAN JIU JITSU program, and MMA in Lakeland and continues to teach today. He is the first person to teach AFTER SCHOOL Martial Arts in central Florida. A pioneer for MMA in Florida, Ross has been involved in the sport in Florida since its beginning.
Ross is a licensed MMA and Boxing trainer and manager under the State of Florida. Champions MMA is known worldwide as a force in the MMA and BJJ community.

Ross has thrown over fifty BJJ and submission grappling tournaments in the country including the Copa America tournament series. He has thrown numerous MMA competitions across the country and continues to act as a consultant to many top level MMA shows. He has refereed over 100 MMA matches judged, fought and promoted MMA events throughout the country.

The kids BJJ program is one of the most successful teams in Florida. Ross’s kids always place at every tournament they enter with several of the children multiple State, National and World Champions in BJJ and Grappling.

Ross’ fighters have been featured in the Ledger, Bay News 9, MMA Authority Magazine, FightZone Magazine/Television and many other television, radio and newspapers across the country.
